UNLABELLED: The article summarizes current knowledge about the possibilities for influencing the cardiovascular risk in treatment of type 2 diabetes, especially focusing on the results of a prospective morbidity-mortality LEADER trial, which demonstrated the superiority of liraglutide in patients with very high cardiovascular risk.
